Callanish Stone Circle

Today, I made my pilgrimage to to Callanish Stone Circle on the Isle of Lewis. This stone circle was erected about 3000 B.C. It was unearthed in the last century while peat was being harvested to the depth of one and a half meters.

  1. Wonderful journal Steve. Wow, you are really up there. I was always amazed at the remote-ness and starkness of that environment for such a small land mass. It made me think of the moon covered in moss. Watch out for the silkies, one may come home with you! Thank you for this vicarious refreshment in real time back here in Ohio. We definitely have to collaborate on some tunes.

  2. I'm ready! I think a harp and border pipe combo would sound great.
