Serpentine Motion of the Beauly River

When I got to the top, there was a nice view of the serpentine motion of the river. It reminded me of how ox-bows are created when a river takes a short between two curves of its normal path. Could that be how the island would be formed? I decided to try the large circular route I had taken again, pulling off by by Crask of Aigas. Still not much visible.
