"Both Sides The Tweed"

I’m standing on a footbridge that crosses over the River Tweed in the charming city of Peebles. I remember the song Corrina Hewat taught us at The Ohio Scottish Arts School called “Both Sides The Tweed”. Notice the lush green rolling hills in this part of Scotland that is known as "The Borders".

  1. According to Wikipedia, the same river that gave it's name to the cloth "Tweed" - accidentally. I hope you get to visit the interior of some of the buildings (like the church on the far bank).

  3. Hey, the Church clock says 4:55. Is that when you were there?

  4. Hmmm...weird that I hadn't even made the connection to Tweed cloth.

And I'm hoping all of the muses of this land will inspire me.

I think the clock could be correct. I've had to post some things the next day because of trouble getting reliable internet service. Anyway, we are 5 hours ahead of Eastern Standard Time.
